British rock legends Oasis are back in action!

On Tuesday, August 27, the iconic band, led by brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, unveiled their Oasis Live ’25 reunion tour. The announcement reveals multiple stadium dates across the U.K. and Ireland for next summer, marking their first live shows in these regions in 16 years.

This thrilling news comes almost 15 years after the Gallagher brothers famously parted ways in 2009. Their split followed a backstage argument at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris, which marked the end of their tour.

“The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised,” Oasis declared in a statement.

This phrase highlights their eagerness to reconnect with fans after such a long hiatus.

In addition, the band shared their excitement on Instagram, stating, “This is it, this is happening.” Their return will kick off at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on July 4 and 5. Following that, they will head to Manchester’s Heaton Park for four shows on July 11, 12, 19, and 20.

Next, Oasis will perform at London’s Wembley Stadium on July 25 and 26, and August 2 and 3. They will then travel to Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium for shows on August 8 and 9. The tour will conclude with performances at Dublin’s Croke Park on August 16 and 17.

Coinciding with the tour announcement, Oasis revealed a Deluxe 30th Anniversary Edition of their landmark album Definitely Maybe.

This special edition drops on Friday, August 30, celebrating three decades since the band’s debut release on August 29, 1994.

Furthermore, Oasis hinted at international plans, saying, “Plans are underway for Oasis Live ’25 to go to other continents outside of Europe later next year.” This suggests that fans around the globe might soon get a chance to see them live.

Formed in Manchester in 1991, Oasis is renowned for massive hits like “Wonderwall,” “Stop Crying Your Heart Out,” “Champagne Supernova,” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger.” They also headlined Glastonbury Festival in England in 1995 and 2004. To date, they have accumulated an impressive 12 billion streams.

The band had been teasing their comeback for days before the official announcement.

A cryptic social media post earlier this week, featuring the date August 27, 2024, and time 8 a.m., hinted at the big reveal. Additionally, on August 25, Liam Gallagher posted on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “I never did like that word FORMER,” fueling speculation about the reunion.

Rumors of a reunion tour have circulated for years. Liam had previously stated in MOJO magazine that Noel had initially refused to mark the 30th anniversary of Definitely Maybe due to their ongoing differences.

Tickets for Oasis Live ’25 will be available for purchase starting Saturday, August 31, at 9 a.m. local time (4 a.m. ET), and 8 a.m. local time in Ireland. Fans are eagerly awaiting the chance to experience Oasis back on stage after such a long wait.
