OnePlus admit wrong info of OnePlus 12R

OnePlus has now officially admitted that it published the wrong information about the OnePlus 12R. The smartphone has UFS 3.1 storage instead of the initially announced UFS 4.0 storage during the phone’s launch.

UFS 3.1 storage

For your information, the OnePlus 12R variants have UFS 3.1 storage only. So, it comes in 128GB and 256GB storage with UFS 3.1 standard and there is no variant with UFS 4.0 version.

UFS 4.0 is the latest Universal Flash Storage standard and compared to the UFS 3.1 standard, it is said to have 2x the bandwidth, and at least 2x sequential read and write speeds while consuming 46% lower power.

Instead, it says UFS 3.1 is the same storage type found on the OnePlus 11 series and that it’s fully rated by the German technical inspection body TÜV SÜD. It claims the UFS 3.1 storage on the 12R should run fine for 4 years.

It also highlights that the Trinity Engine (for optimum performance of CPU, RAM and ROM) was tested on UFS 3.1 storage only.
