Pax Jolie-Pitt, the second eldest of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s children, is ditching his famous last name for a more obscure artist pseudonym.

It must be tricky to be part of the Hollywood royalty that is the Jolie-Pitt clan. On the one hand, you are privileged in a lot of ways. On the other hand, it must be hard to pursue your passions without being associated with your tremendously popular parents. Maybe that was what Pax Jolie-Pitt thought as he forayed into the world of art.

The 19-year-old is the second eldest after Maddox, of six children of the Brangelina couple. The famous couple announced their split in 2016 and is still locked in an ongoing divorce battle. Part of their long divorce process is the custody of the children. Currently, Angelina has custody rights over most of their children, who are minors, and Brad gets visitation rights. But Pax is already of legal age and is not part of the custody mess.

The former couple has a very private life with their children. They do not post pictures on social media of their kids, so the only photos are from official events and the paparazzi. Despite all these efforts to safeguard their children and gave them as normal a childhood as can be, the Jolie-Pitts are still under the watchful eyes of the media. This kind of attention might be why Pax opted to use another name in his artworks.

It is not uncommon for artists to use pseudonyms, especially in this age with artists like Banksy dominating the world. Pax, technically a Hollywood nepotism baby, used “Embtto” to make his mark in the art scene. He creates digital and mixed media pieces, sources say. His works are said to be “abstract,” and he is going to have his first exhibit in Israel. And, contrary to the trend, Embtto’s works will not be sold as NFTs.

Hollywood nepotism babies not adapting their famous last names are not new. Rocco Ritchie, Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s son, is also an artist using the pseudonym “RHED” in his works. RHED is focused on expressionism as his art style and has received formal art training.

Pax Jolie-Pitt as Embtto is just stepping out on his own feet as an artist, and even though he is young, his upcoming exhibit in Israel is already a real achievement as a creator. Though he is going into another type of art from his family, he had a chance to work with his mother behind the scene for a couple of films. Angelina herself said that they worked together in “Without Blood” and “First They Killed My Father.” The actress reportedly said, “We work well together. When a film crew is at its best, it feels like a big family, so it felt natural.”

Angelina has come forward multiple times in support of her children and it is evident that she is proud of the people they are growing up into. Pax Jolie-Pitt’s venture into the art world takes him a step further into becoming his person, his pseudonym showing his individuality and going out of the box of being a Jolie-Pitt.
