Prince Harry will be present at King Charles III’s coronation, but Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, will not be in attendance, Buckingham Palace has announced.

Amidst widespread speculation on whether Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, would attend King Charles III’s coronation, Buckingham Palace has confirmed that Prince Harry will be present at the ceremony on May 6th, but Meghan will not be in attendance.

This will mark the first public appearance of Prince Harry with the Royal Family since the bombshell revelations in his memoir, “Spare,” which shed light on the deep-seated disagreements and differences he has experienced with other members of the royal household.

The coronation at Westminster Abbey is expected to be attended by over 2,000 guests, and Prince Harry’s solo presence is sure to attract attention.

His memoir, which was candid in detailing his strained relationship with the royal family, has undoubtedly cast a shadow on his relationship with the rest of the royals.

In recent interviews, Prince Harry has expressed feeling “different” from his family, further hinting at the unresolved tensions within the royal household.

Meghan’s decision to decline the invitation to the coronation is likely to be seen as another indication of the ongoing family conflicts.

Prince Harry’s book, as well as a previous Netflix series he was involved in, had brought to light concerns about negative media coverage and lack of support, particularly towards Meghan. These issues may have influenced Meghan’s decision not to attend the coronation, further highlighting the complexities and strains within the royal family.

After much uncertainty, confirmation has finally emerged that Prince Harry will be in attendance at his father’s coronation at Westminster Abbey on May 6th. However, it has also been revealed that Prince Archie, the couple’s son, will not be accompanying Prince Harry and will instead remain in the U.S. with his mother, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex.

In a statement issued by Prince Harry and Meghan, they echoed the palace’s announcement, stating, “The Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation service at Westminster Abbey on May 6th. The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.” The decision for Meghan and Prince Archie to stay in California during the historic event was not accompanied by any further comments from the couple’s spokeswoman or Buckingham Palace.

It has been disclosed that Prince Harry and Meghan were contacted by email over a month ago regarding their attendance at the coronation. However, until now, there had been uncertainty about their participation in the ceremony, which is set to be attended by other members of the Royal Family, prominent public figures, world leaders, and representatives of charities and community groups.

Given his status as a non-working royal, it remains to be determined what role Prince Harry will play in the forthcoming coronation ceremony. During the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Prince Harry and Meghan did not partake in the traditional appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony.

It is expected that Prince William, as the Prince of Wales, will have a prominent role in the coronation proceedings. Following Prince Harry’s revelatory account of their strained relationship, there will likely be heightened attention on the reunion of the two brothers.
