Samsung has officially introduced a new One UI 6.0 update for several devices. An array of generative AI features is now available for the S24 lineup. It looks like Samsung is working on another feature, one that will help detect car crashes. This car crash detection alert is reportedly being tested out for the Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

Samsung is working on a car crash detection feature according to evidence discovered by Mishaal Rahman. As detailed in this report, the first clue was spotted in the Tasker app, which included a “”Car Crash Detect Wakeup” sensor in the Galaxy Z Fold 5. The same was found on the Galaxy S24 Ultra as well.

A hidden system app called “MoccaMobile” was found in One UI 6.1. This app contains code for starting and stopping the car crash sensor adding to the speculation that there is a car detection feature in the works.

This feature might be exclusive to the Galaxy S24 series, and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 as the evidence found wasn’t present on the Galaxy S23 Ultra. But it’s too early to say as the feature is only in testing for now.
