The Truth About Jaime Foxx’s Health Scare

Jamie Foxx scared his fans when news came out about his health scare. Now, about a month later, rumors have surfaced that his health may be in danger again. But his daughter quickly squashed those speculations.

The incident dates to April 16, 2023, when 55-year-old Foxx’s daughter Corrine announced that her father was dealing with a ‘medical complication’. Many speculated that he had suffered an aneurysm or a stroke.

Fortunately, his condition was not as serious as they initially thought.

Medical experts found that Foxx suffered a brain bleed when he was seeking out treatment for headaches. However, the issue was minor, and Foxx is expected to make a full recovery.

Different Takes on Jamie’s Health

In the weeks that followed, different news sources reported on Jaime’s health. Although most sources revealed he was recovering, Taraji P. Hensen posted a tribute on her Instagram saying she was praying for Foxx.

It was also revealed that Foxx would not be returning for the new season of Beat Shazam. Rather, Nick Cannon would be temporarily replacing him.

“Everyone at FOX Entertainment wishes Jamie well as he continues his recovery and we greatly appreciate Nick’s willingness to jump in and help this summer,” the Shazam network wrote when they posted the announcement for the coming season.

The Foxx Family Facing the Worst??

Then a report came out claiming the Foxx family was headed for “The worst”.

Celebrities took to social media on May 12 to send well wishes.

Musician and actor Kid Cudi took to Twitter writing, “Man prayin’ for Jamie Foxx”.

Tyler the Creator shared a now-deleted video on his Instagram story of Foxx performing his 1994 song “Infatuation” and wrote he was “sending love” to the actor.

James Woods who costarred with Foxx in the 2013 action film White House Dawn shared a Twitter story saying he had come to know Foxx “for the kind and caring man he is.”

Corrine Clears the Air

You can imagine the type of rumors these tributes stirred up. Fortunately, Corrine caught wind of them before it got out of hand.

“Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild. My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks recuperating. He was playing pickleball yesterday. Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support. We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!”

Jamie and Corinne later announced they would be teaming up for a new TV game show gig.
