The Threads by Instagram developer team has decided that the testing phase of a new and long-awaited feature is over and that, therefore, it is possible to implement it for all users: we are referring to the possibility of saving drafts of your posts.

After a couple of weeks of testing, conducted with a small circle of users, the developers believe they have optimized this functionality, ready to be made available to everyone else.

A handy new feature lands on Threads

The new feature allows users to save their posts as drafts and return to them later, making it easier to plan and curate content to publish on the platform.

To save a draft, simply scroll down or tap “Cancel” and then “Save Draft” on a post you are writing, and to review the draft later, simply tap the compose icon. Furthermore, you can long press the Write button to publish something new without deleting the draft.

Please note that there is currently a limit of one draft per user and it is not possible to save a draft in a reply.

In addition to drafts, Threads is also officially launching the ability to take a photo directly from the application: this will be possible by tapping the Write button and then the new camera icon.
