Tori Spelling and Her Family Hospitalized Because of Mold

Even the famous people we look up to have to deal with things common folks like us want to avoid. Tori Spelling is living proof of that. She and her family recently vacated their home due to mold infestation.

Tori Spelling had a successful career in show business. She has been married to her husband, Dean McDermott for 17 years. But 2023 just doesn’t seem to be Tori’s year. A few months ago, rumors surfaced that the couple had a rocky relationship and may be heading for a divorce soon. Tori even posted and deleted on Instagram that they might be getting a divorce.

However, a source close to the Beverly Hills 90210 star said, “They’ve had their ups and downs like any other couple but have continued working on their marriage through couples counseling.” Additionally, another source spoke out about Tori’s hard year, “Tori has been to hell and back the past few months. She’s been running on empty for such a long time. It’s just been one problem after another.”

And just when matters with her husband seem to be resolved, Tori and the whole family are plunged again into despair as they start getting sick. At first, they chalked it up to mild diseases that they might have picked around, but as the symptoms got worse, they decided to seek medical attention and discovered the culprit, mold.

Spelling posted about it on Instagram saying, “Here we are again at Urgent Care. We’ve all been on this continual spiral of sickness for months. Sick. Get better. To get sick again. [I] used to think, ‘Well that’s what happens when you have young kids in school. They just continually bring sicknesses home.’ But, when it gets to the point where they are at home sick more than being in school we had to reassess what was going on. Kids will be kids but when you have your youngest (10 and 6) so sick they are sleeping all day and say they feel dizzy even standing I knew something bigger was going on.”

Spelling also said that the invisible culprit had been around their house for several years before they started feeling the symptoms. “Our troubles are next level with our mold problem and the house that’s been slowly killing us for 3 years.”

Tori Spelling and her family are still lucky that they were able to seek medical attention after getting sick. Mold infestations can be deadly, after all. Some species of mold could develop and grow in the areas of our houses that we don’t really pay much attention to. These fungi thrive in wet or damp, dark places like air vents, cupboards, and many others. Their spores can be toxic and practically invisible, which makes it hard to pinpoint a reason for getting sick.

Mold infestations can grow and encompass large spaces of our house. We inhale the mold which goes directly to our lungs, and from there, travels all around our body, especially our brain. If left untreated, mold infestations can cause permanent brain damage, or worse, death.

Tori Spelling has spoken out to bring awareness to this fairly common issue. She wants everyone to know how mold can deteriorate our health and be an invisible killer.
