The K-pop industry is notorious for keeping secrets about the stars dating other celebrities. In the past, there were even contracts that cite that dating other celebrities are forbidden for K-pop idols. The rationale behind this is that the idols should be devoted to their fans. And hardcore fans sometimes treat their favorite celebrities’ love lives as a betrayal.
However, much has changed in the K-pop industry as it hit the global market. Now, entertainment industries are slowly weaning from having traditionally controversial contracts. So Jisoo is dating Ahn Bo Hyun and there could be no more perfect time to announce it. And we all know she deserves a love story after being a member of one of the world’s biggest girl groups to date.
Jisoo is Dating Ahn Bo Hyun, but Who is He?
If you aren’t a fan of Korean dramas, you probably don’t know who Ahn Bo Hyun is. He’s an actor signed with a relatively well-known agency, FN Entertainment. He started his career in the industry in 2014, and despite being only 35 years old, has appeared in over 50 dramas since his debut.
He is most well-known for his role in Itaewon Class as the villain of the story. But he also starred in other successful dramas before that like Yumi’s Cells and even the hit Descendants of the Sun.

Jisoo herself, aside from her achieving stardom with her group Blackpink, starred in a K-drama of her own called Snowdrop. She has also released her own songs independent of Blackpink.
Now, usually, when a dating rumor between a celebrity and an idol appears, their entertainment agencies immediately deny everything, but not this time. The rumors that Jisoo is dating Ahn Bo Hyun started after they were spotted together by the paparazzi in Seoul. For a few days, there was no confirmation or denial of the news.
But FN Entertainment came out clean and released a statement saying, “The two are in a stage where they are getting to know each other slowly with good feelings. We would appreciate it if you could watch the couple with a warm gaze,” Later on, YG Entertainment, Jisoo’s label, also released a statement with the same sentiment.
The statements shocked fans and it’s still too early to say how they will receive it. But we are really happy for Jisoo finding love with Ahn Bo Hyun. We hope that with this news, the K-pop industry will be better in their treatment of dating rumors for their stars.
Blackpink dating gossip is not new. The other members Jennie, Lisa, and Rose, are always rumored to be dating this celebrity or the other. Probably the most popular recently was the rumor that Jennie was dating V from BTS but there was no confirmation on that.
Currently, Blackpink is on their second Born Pink World Tour showcasing their songs from their 2022 album, “Born Pink.” Jisoo is so lucky to find love despite their busy schedules.
