Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom got engaged in February 2019, on the most romantic day of the year: Valentine’s Day! The couple had been dating on and off for about three years. Even though the two are always private regarding their relationship, details about their upcoming wedding have gradually started trickling in.
Perry revealed some details during The Drew Barrymore Show on September 14. The “Roar” singer claimed she put in some effort when finding the one and was rewarded with a partner who treasured her.
“There’s still a plan, but the location is challenging,” Perry said. “I love a big celebration. I am all about big, fun, exotic, great celebrations. So, hopefully, soon.”
Katy Perry also spilled some details about her relationship life.
“I’ve always had a ‘am I enough’ hang up. I’ve always had a challenging time with love and relationships and maybe not being attracted to the right kind of people sometimes,” Perry added. “And to be attracted to someone kind and consistent and showed up for me. So I did all the work, and it’s paid off.”
Katty Perry explained how she had to work on herself before deciding to have kids. The couple welcomed a baby girl, Daisy, in 2020.
“I went and did so much work before becoming a mom because I was nervous about some stuff I had from my past, and I wanted to clear that.” She said. “I wanted to change all the energy, and Orlando and I were very intentional about having Daisy. We had decided it was no accident. It was time.”
The singer also talked about her forthcoming album.
“I’ll probably go and make another record soon, write it, and tour the world after this, which will be great. I really save my energy for when I have to go and turn it on ’cause when I turn it on, it’s up to 11, girl.”
According to Entertainment Tonight, the couple will be surrounded by star-studded guests on their big day, which includes their close friend Taylor Swift with whom they had been having a series of feuds. After many years of disputes, the two finally patched things up.
“They’ve already talked guest list and have even talked about including Taylor Swift!” ET reported.
