The multiple Grammy-winning artist surprised her fans on August 23rd with a fresh take on her song “Look What You Made Me Do.” The new version debuted in a teaser for Amazon’s original thriller series, Wilderness.
Taylor Swift has been busy re-recording her first six albums. Now she’s unveiled the updated rendition of her track from the Reputation era, “Look What You Made Me Do.”
This cherished tune took center stage in a teaser trailer for Wilderness on August 23rd, setting the tone for the upcoming Amazon Original thriller series. The show stars Jenna Coleman, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Ashley Benson, and Eric Balfour.
According to the streaming service’s press release, “The defiant ‘Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version)’ reflects Liv’s (Coleman) transformation after her supposed ‘happily-ever-after’ quickly turns into a living nightmare on discovering her husband Will (Jackson-Cohen) is having an affair.”
When Wilderness premieres on September 15th, viewers will witness Liv’s journey of seeking revenge.
Taylor’s debut of “Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version)” comes nearly two weeks after she announced her plans to re-record songs from a different era.
She teased, “Surprise!! 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is on its way to you [soon]! The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out October 27th.”
Taylor expressed her excitement, especially for the “5 From The Vault” tracks.
“To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane,” she said. “I can’t believe they were ever left behind. But not for long!”
Swift assured fans that these tracks won’t be forgotten.
