Tesla rolls out Apple Siri Shortcuts

It often seems that Tesla often leads and is always ahead in many aspects when it comes to its EV updates. Now being a part of it, another piece of information in regards to the American giant is it start rolling out Apple Shortcuts integration in a new mobile app update. It enables its owners to automate and make use of Siri for vehicle controls.

Recently, Tesla bring a new update to its iOS mobile app. In its release notes, the automaker stated that it provides access to vehicle controls via an Apple Shortcuts app.

According to the description given by Apple for its Shortcuts app:

Siri Shortcuts deliver a quick way to get things done with your apps with just a tap or by asking Siri. The Shortcuts app enables you to create personal shortcuts with multiple steps from your favorite apps. Start from hundreds of examples in the Gallery or drag and drop to create your own.

Now these recent updates enable Tesla owners to take help from Siri in order to perform tasks in regard to its vehicles. It also assists to use Shortcuts widgets to activate the task.

Tesla owners could already do some of these tasks through other third-party apps. But now it is officially integrated with Apple’s own app. On the other hand, Tesla’s owners were already able to do some of these tasks with the help of other third-party apps. While now it comes with official integration with Apple’s own app.

Earlier integration with Apple

At the same time, the integration steps are a nice move by Tesla to go in parallel with the Apple ecosystem. It is to be noted, Tesla launched Apple Music support in December. Later upgrading the in-car entertainment options for its users.

The rolling update enables Tesla owners to seamlessly control several aspects of their vehicles using Siri. Also, as such collaborations continue between Tesla and Apple.
