When Was iOS 16 Released?
iOS 16 was released on 12th September, following months-long public and developer beta process. The release started rolling out at around 10 am PT and is now officially available to download.

How Do You Install iOS 16?

iOS 16 New Features

- SharePlay in iMessage. You can listen to music or watch videos while chatting with friends.
- It has enhanced voice detection. The new software has a more improved speech-to-text for the iOS keyboard.
- Lift objects out of a picture. iOS allows you to lift subjects from the background. You may drag the object to other apps and paste it there.
- Pay on iPhone. You can accept payments through Apple Pay.
- Customizable lock screens with animated images, widgets, and cleaner notifications. iOS 16 allows users to apply different styles, fonts, and mini-widgets that can show alarms, weather, and other activities. They bear a striking resemblance with the ones you can add to the face of an Apple Watch.
- More filters for focus mode. Depending on what you are doing, you can change how your iPhone looks and feels.
