The Pixel phone maker has recently released the beta 5 of Android 14, the next version of the operating system is now more than ever very close to being released in a stable form.
The new (and probably last) preview version of Android 14 arrives about a month after the previous beta 4 (and about two weeks after the beta 4.1 ) and can be installed on all compatible Made by Google smartphones, i.e. from the Google Pixel 4a 5G onwards, and on the Pixel Tablet. Let’s find out all the details.
Google releases Android 14 Beta 5
The stable update for the Android 14 seems near as the next version of Android will be released in the coming weeks (probably at the beginning of September).
The release of the August patches for all supported Pixels (running Android 13 ) last Monday, anticipated the fact that we would not see the release of the stable version of Android 14 soon (also because there were still many unsolved issues, also witnessed by a long list of fixes that accompanied the release of beta 4.1, a real “corrective patch”).
The new beta 5, the release of which was launched a few minutes ago on all compatible Pixels of users registered in the Android Beta program, continues the process of finalizing and optimizing the operating system and is configured as a real “Release Candidate ” ( a release candidate build in stable form): everything will depend on the feedback from the beta testers, which is crucial at this stage.
Meanwhile, the new build released by Google is the UPB5.230623.003 and offers the security patches updated to August 2023 (the same ones we currently find on Pixels updated to Android 13) and demonstrates the fact that the development team is looking to do things calmly to arrive “ready” for release in a stable form.
