In particular, Tom Alison spoke of a roadmap that by 2026 should lead the social giant to develop an artificial intelligence model that can power all videos, including Reels and longer content.

According to Alison, Reels account for a third of total viewing time on Facebook, meaning two-thirds are based on the social giant’s existing solution, and a unified, more modern approach should be able to simultaneously improve both user experience that profits for the company.
