Samsung was reportedly working on a new battery technology that would increase the energy density of the battery without changing.
Galaxy S25 Ultra may not offer the stacked battery
The company was expected to offer this new tech to the world of smartphones with this year’s Galaxy S24 Ultra. A reliable tipster Sawyer Galox claimed that the company will launch the Galaxy S25 Ultra with the same 45W charging and 5000 a mAh battery based on the traditional Li-Ion technology.
According to him Samsung changed its mind and decided to save some cost. He further adds that the new stacked battery may come with the Galaxy S26 Ultra in 2026 along with the faster charging.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip could be a reason behind Samsung’s delaying improvements in other aspects. Qualcomm has confirmed that the next generation flagship chip will be more expensive than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and the Galaxy S24 Ultra already costs $1300.
