Before Android 14 officially comes out, Google is making some changes to how it will show Android’s name and logo. The company is all set to release a new logo with a big capital A. Also, the company is updating the cute 3D Android robot character to look even more adorable.
Google changed Android logo and 3D Mascot
First, you might have noticed that the company using a capital A in “Android” now instead of a small letter. Why did they do this? Well, Google thinks that using a capital A will make Android look more important when it’s placed next to the Google logo.
So, instead of having its own unique look, the new Android logo will look like the Google logo. Google wants them to look like they belong together. The company want people to understand that even though Android is open-source, it’s owned and run by Google. It said this in their blog post too, where they mentioned that the new bold Android logo will help people understand the connection between Android devices and the Google apps and services it already use.
In addition to the logo, Google is giving bugdroid, the Android robot, an entirely new look and a full-body appearance. As shown in the image below, the robot has gone from a bland 2D logo to an adorable and curvy robot with character. Google believes that Android’s new 3D mascot “can easily transition between digital and real-life environments.”
