Google’s Find My Device (FMD) network was supposed to launch in the summer of 2023, but it was delayed until Apple implements unknown tracker alerts. The upcoming iOS 17.5 update is adding that support.
Apple released iOS 17.5 Beta 1 today and our colleagues at 9to5Mac discovered strings detailing how the iPhone will be able to detect third-party trackers. Once found, iOS will direct users to instructions on how to disable them.
Google’s Find My Device network is taking its first steps
In the last few hours, another confirmation has arrived to the rumors according to which something is finally moving and the new Google network should be launched soon: in the 24.12.14 beta version of Google Play Services, in fact, the item that allows to find offline devices.
Without network (the device is not included in the network and can be located through recent positions when it was online).
With the network in areas with high volume of use (the system uses recent stored locations or the network in areas such as airports and crowded sidewalks).
