Google has now integrated its Gemini AI chatbot into Chrome for desktops. Users can now directly ask questions to Gemini by entering their query in the address bar.
The feature is available in the latest stable version of Google Chrome and is accessible to all users. Here’s how you can use it.
Gemini AI Integration in Google Chrome
Google Chrome users can now enter the prompt “@gemini” followed by their question, directly in Chrome’s address bar. Chrome will automatically redirect that question to Gemini AI.
If you are a free user of Gemini, Chrome will forward your question to the basic model of the chatbot. If you are a Gemini Advanced subscriber, Chrome will use the more powerful version of Gemini by default for your queries using the @gemini prompt.
Gemini AI integration is available in the latest version of Google Chrome browser starting with 124.0.6367.119. It is available on Windows, macOS, and Linux systems. Your regular searches will continue to be executed on your default search engine unless you use the @gemini prompt in the address bar.
