HMD has launched a new feature phone called ‘The Boring Phone’ in collaboration with Heineken and Bodega. The device highlights the concept of digital disconnection while emphasizing a quirky design given the transparent body.
HMD Introduces The Boring Phone
HMD says that it has observed GenZ users cutting down their screen time to improve their mental health. Hence, the company has partnered with Heineken and Bodega, as both companies share the same ideology of prioritizing in-person social life.
The Boring Phone’s specifications include a 2.8-inch QVGA primary display and a 1.77-inch display on the outer side. It also has a 0.3MP camera. HMD says the device can offer a week of standby time with up to 20 hours of voice calls. The phone is 4G enabled and can also connect to 2G and 3G networks.
The device will mainly be featured at events in European countries and some parts of the United States. HMD is unlikely to introduce ‘The Boring Phone’ in the Indian market.
