According to the latest report from IDC, in the latest tracking report of Q4 2023, China’s smartphone market shipped approximately 73.63 million units, a year-on-year increase of 1.2%, rebounding for the first time after 10 consecutive quarters of year-on-year decline. It is worth mentioning that Honor ranked first in Android.

According to the report, in the fourth quarter of 2023, the top five domestic smartphone shipments are: Apple, Honor, Vivo, Huawei and OPPO. In terms of mobile phone shipments throughout 2023, the rankings are Apple, Honor, OPPO, Vivo and Xiaomi.
Specifically, IDC analysis shows that in the market above US$800 (5,700 yuan), Honor’s share has increased significantly due to the outstanding performance of its folding screen family products. At the same time, IDC emphasized that focusing on the demand characteristics of offline consumers in the mid-range market is also one of the important reasons for the strong explosion of Honor this time.
The report also pointed out that due to the success of product strategy and improvement in cooperation with channels, Honor ultimately maintained its second place in China in terms of total shipments throughout the year.
Being No. 1 in Android in Q4 and the whole year of 2023, increasing the share of folding screens, being strong offline, and being No. 1 in total shipments throughout the year can be said to be Honor’s “four core highlights” in this IDC survey report.
