The Infinix Note 40 series devices are all set to launch on March 18 and will include two models: Infinix Note 40 and Note 40 Pro. These arrive as a follow-up to the Infinix Note 30 5G. After confirming the phones would come with wireless MagCharge support, the company has now revealed the Infinix Note 40 series will feature a dedicated charging chip, dubbed Cheetah X1.
Infinix Cheetah X1 chip
The Infinix Cheetah X1 chip is the company’s self-developed chip that will power the All-Round FastCharge 2.0 in the Infinix NOTE 40 Series. The Cheetah X1 chip will handle 100W wired, wireless and reverse wired/wireless charging. This also includes special modes for night charging. The dedicated chip will act as the brain of the phone’s charging system. This will intelligently distribute power based on real-time needs, optimise efficiency and protect battery health.
There is a 63-level safety shield to safeguard against potential risks with automatic intervention and user alerts.
Infinix says that it has utilised advanced packaging technology as it shrunk the Cheetah X1 to an incredibly small size.
