Meta has now officially announced a couple of new features that it is introducing for Instagram users. The first concerns the possibility of adding notes as videos, while the second allows you to generate a background for Stories using artificial intelligence .
Instagram introduces video notes
Notes have been text-based, but the ability to add a video gives your notes more room for creativity. Video notes can only be two-second loops, however you can also add a caption.
Meta is also introducing more ways to reply to notes from your friends on Instagram, including photos, videos, audio messages, stickers and GIFs that the recipient will see as DMs.
Instagram allows you to add AI-generated backgrounds
Instagram has launched a new AI-powered generative tool called “Background” that lets you create a new image in the background of your Story.
The new tool appears when you upload or capture content for your Story and is located next to existing icons at the top of the screen represented by a person icon with a rectangular frame.
To generate the background, just describe the image you have in mind in the appropriate text box and the artificial intelligence will do the magic, however the story will be tagged by Instagram with the feature logo.
