Instagram’s Threads is the major competitor of X (formally known as Twitter) and the company is now rapidly integrating new changes to make it unique. According to the latest report, the company is planning to launch the web version of the Threads app, which several users have requested, as early as this week.
Threads web version launch timeline
The information is first reported by the WSJ, the media said “Meta is planning to unveil the web version of the newly launched microblogging app early this week.” The company is working on major changes on the system to provide decent experience to its users.
Earlier, Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, said that they are currently working on the web version of the Threads app and it will still need some changes before it goes public.
On the other hand, recently, Mark Zuckerberg has also confirmed that Threads web will be added “in the next few weeks”.
Meanwhile, for you information, the Threads app was launched in July 2023 and then it was updated a number of time with several new features, including Translations, Following tab, and much more.
However, as per reports, Threads handled 50,000 daily active users on Android devices in early July, the app’s user count has now stands at approx 10 million.
