Apple is now planning to launch the iPhone 16 series in September event. The iPhone 16 series is widely assumed to be an incremental update but seems to be gaining another new button similar to its predecessor.
iPhone 16 Pro CAD renders reveal design ahead of launch
iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max used a Titanium frame for the first time in an iPhone. Other upgrades in the design included thinner bezels and rounded corners. The new iPhone 16 Pro will continue using this same design language, but a few changes seem to be taking place.
CAD renders shared with 91mobiles by industry sources show off the rumoured “Capture Button” below the usual location of the power button. The button, with capacitive touch functionality, is expected to enable features such as adjusting focus and zoom levels besides being a trigger for photo and video capture. The Action Button could be getting slightly larger, too.
Compared to the iPhone 15 Pro’s dimensions (146.6x 70.6×8.25mm), the iPhone 16 Pro is slightly taller, wider and thicker. The figures for length and breadth corroborate the ones shared by MacRumors.
