With EV sales flying up 284% in Q3 with respect to last year, Mercedes electric vehicles are close to 15% of total US sales. In order to make a comparison, Ford and GM are near to 3% to 4%. Mercedes-Benz sold 10,423 electric vehicles between July and September. This records an increase of 284% with respect to last year.

Mercedes electric vehicles close to 15% of US sales
According to Dimitris Psillakis, the president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz USA, the company is “very encouraged” by the demand for its EVs. It comprises the Alabama-produced EQE SUV and EQS SUV.
Additionally, Mercedes EV sales touched 14.7% of US passenger vehicle sales in the third quarter of the year. While the brand’s EV lineup is responsible for 14% of overall passenger vehicle sales in 2023. However, both Ford and GM have sold more electric models than Mercedes in their home market. Also, at the same time, the German automaker has a higher percentage of its total sales.
