Neo is all set to officially debut its 2023 EV6 refresh after four years with its first generation SUV model. The new electric SUV will make its official launch coming Friday. While its initial customer deliveries start soon after its launch.
When it comes to EC6 it was first announced in 2019 as NIO’s third model. Moving ahead, the Chinese EV maker has enlarged its lineup in order to add multiple sedans as well as new SUVs. They also continue to produce the flagship models that initiated things from scratch a mere five years ago.
Considering NIO’s eight present models, however, the EC6 is the last one that brings transition with respect to the automaker’s second-generation NT 2.0 EV platform.
Recently, we saw the first spy images of the EC6 refresh along with information about its September debut. Now, NIO has approved its launch event, that going to be conducted in China on September 15.

According to the post on the NIO app, the refreshed SUV are already taking their place in showrooms before Friday’s launch and soon will be made available for test drives.
Whereas, the automaker has yet to reveal the pricing of the new EC6. Also, the first generation came in three versions priced at RMB 396,000 ($54,300), RMB 436,000 ($59,800), and RMB 496,000 ($68,000). Meanwhile, NIOs have opened pre-orders for the EC6 for RMB 5,000 ($685) which also offers RMB 1,000 in NIO credits.
Also, the pre-orders will end ahead of its launch event which has been scheduled for later this week. NIO’s motive is to start deliveries soon open its order books, and hand over the SUVs to customers in China while its hype remains on the higher side. At the same time, there is no commitment with respect to second-generation EC6s. But we are quite sure to get more following the launch event.
