HMD Global has rolled out the Android 14 update for its Nokia G42 5G smartphone, bringing a suite of new features and improvements to the device. The update, version 2.160, is sizable at 2.68GB and includes the December 2023 Google security patch.

The Nokia G42 5G features a 6.56-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 480+ SoC and comes in two memory configurations. The phone’s camera setup includes a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP front camera.
Additional specifications include a 3.5mm audio jack, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, IP52 dust and splash resistance, and a variety of connectivity options. The device runs on a 5000mAh battery with 20W fast charging support.
