HMD Global has recently changed the names of Nokia’s social handles and website to Human Mobile Devices (HMD).
However, some interesting new developments have surfaced, indicating that Nokia is gearing up to launch 17 new smartphones.
Nokia to reportedly launch 17 new smartphones
Nokia is planning to launch 17 new smartphones on the market. GSMChina has spotted 17 new smartphone model numbers ranging from TA-1603 to TA-1628 on the IMEI database.
It’s possible that these models are either different RAM/storage variants of the primary phones or entirely different phones altogether.
Some of the smartphones could launch at the upcoming MWC (Mobile World Congress). The website doesn’t reveal any other information regarding the upcoming smartphones, except that the smartphones will bear the Nokia brand and not the HMD brand.
Nine new HMD-branded phones were also spotted recently on the IMEI database, bearing the model numbers TA-1584, TA-1594, TA-1595, TA-1588, TA-1589, TA-1592, TA-1602, TA-1605, and TA-1631.
Information revealed earlier exclusively to 91mobiles had stated that Nokia would sell phones offline, while HMD would cater to the online market.
