Realme’s latest affordable 5G smartphone, the Realme 12X, originally debuted in China and is now set to make its way to global markets. Realme has scheduled the Indian launch for April 2. And recent certification suggests it will soon hit other regions as well.
Certification Details
The Realme 12X 5G has received certification from the UAE’s Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA). This certification, granted under model number “RMX3997,” paves the way for its launch. While the certification doesn’t divulge specifics about the phone’s features, tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore provided some insights.
Expected Specifications
According to Sudhanshu, the Realme 12X 5G will boast a 6.72-inch LCD display with Full HD+ resolution. And reaching peak brightness levels of 950 nits and supporting a refresh rate of 120Hz. Powering the device will be a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chip coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, expandable up to 2TB via microSD card.
Camera and Other Features
The latest buzz is that the phone will sport a 50-megapixel main camera setup on the rear and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. It will run on Android 14, carry an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance, and weigh in at 188 grams. Fans are excited to confirm these details at the launch event, alongside speculations of a price tag below ₹12,000.
