Rivian has summed up the “Max pack” feature to its R1S configurator. Also, they added “Max pack” as filter criteria to its R1 shop. Now to put forward the vehicles with the massive 400+-mile pack will tend to be shipping soon. Additionally, the automaker has three planned battery pack levels. This includes Standard, Large, and Max. So far, the exact kWh rating for every pack is known whereas the Max is rumored to be about 180kWh.
At the same time, the only Rivians that have shipped presently is the one that comes with the Large pack. The same could be changing soon, followed by the updates that Rivian just made to its website. At first, the Max pack is now selectable on Rivian’s Explore R1S page. The same enables you to configure an R1S with the choice of someone interested.
A few times back, the option was not selectable on the R1S. Also, the option costs an additional $10,000 more as compared to the Large pack as well as $16K more than the Standard pack.
Secondly, the “R1 Shop” has seen “Max pack” summed up as a filter option. To be noted, the R1 Shop is a section of Rivian’s website, whereby order holders can see and make a selection of immediately available vehicles which can be delivered in a week or more. Therefore, the Max pack’s appearance indicates that it might be coming soon.
However, the button is presently grayed out, as the website has just been updated before the time for when the Max pack becomes available. On the other hand, the Standard pack is supposed to come in 2024.
