It has been reported that the Tesla has launched a little updated Model Y in China with an LED light strip, new wheels, and faster acceleration. While it is not a major update, it is worth mindful of.
At the same time, all eyes are still on the update of the new Model 3. Tesla has silently rolled out an updated version of the Model Y out of Gigafactory Shanghai. The updated features are debuting with the LED strip corning around the dash that is visible in the freshly refreshed Model 3.
Moving ahead, the ambient light strip doesn’t seem to be the same as in the new Model 3. But it is very similar and can also be operated with distinct colors via a center display.
Besides, Tesla has also little updated the Gemini wheel. This is tend to be the standard wheels for the Model Y with a darker color. At last, the automaker also made the vehicle a tiny bit faster with the base variant. Thus, now with a 5.9-second 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration has been achieved.
Currently, the Model 3 and Model Y vehicles that have been produced in Gigafactory Shanghai have met through these changes. In the interim, the vehicles are supposed to come in the markets that get Chinese-made Tesla vehicles such as Asia, Europe, and Canada.
Importantly, Tesla advisors have conveyed to customers in China that the Model Y still comes with Autopilot 3.0 Hardware. This is irrespective of the newer HW 4.0 in US-made vehicles.
