Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro smartphones were launched in China last October 26, while to discover Xiaomi 14 Ultra we will have to wait a few more months. In the meantime, further previews have appeared on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
Xiaomi 14 Pro won’t arrive in a global version?
For your information, the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphones were presented in China on December 11, 2022 and offered on the global market at the end of February 2023, but this time things could go differently.
While on the one hand, it seems that Xiaomi wants to offer the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro tablet here too, European users (and not only) may never see the Xiaomi 14 Pro.
Rumors suggest that the Chinese company may launch only the Xiaomi 14 in the global version, while the Pro version could remain reserved for the Chinese market.
As per the Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi 14 Ultra will arrive in different colors , including a blue variant with glass back and two orange and black versions with silicone skin.
These colors could belong to the prototype, and other versions could be added. In terms of design, the smartphone should maintain a display with slightly curved edges, with a rear panel not too far from that of its predecessor.
The central metal frame should no longer extend to the battery cover, while still presenting some aesthetic changes.
Based on what we know, Xiaomi 14 Ultra should have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and quad rear cameras with a 50 MP one-inch Sony LYT900 main sensor (with variable aperture from f/1.6 to f/4.0), two telephoto lenses 5th MP with a new architecture and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor from the Sony IMX8 series. The battery could go up to 5180 mAh with support for 90 W (wired) and 50 W (wireless) fast charging.
The flagship smartphone should be presented between the end of the first quarter and the beginning of the second quarter of 2024: we could officially discover it in April 2024 in the company of the Xiaomi Pad 7 series.
