Samsung, Google and other tech companies have already started rolling out the latest custom skin update based on Android 14. Now, Xiaomi has started rolling out the new update for its MIUI-eligible device based on Android 14.
Xiaomi is almost ready to release the first test builds of the MIUI based on Android 14.
As reported by Xiaomiui, the first test builds for the next MIUI version based on Android 14 have been identified on the company’s servers, the affected devices are those that we had already seen during the search for beta testers, namely Xiaomi 13 , Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 12T.
Here are the codes of the first test builds and related smartphones involved
- Xiaomi 13 MIUI-V14.0.0.1.UMCMIXM
- Xiaomi 13 Pro MIUI-V14.0.0.1.UMBMIXM
- Xiaomi 12T MIUI-V14.0.0.1.ULQMIXM
However, these are just the beta version so note that the beta testing version may contain serious bugs, which is why installing it on the main device is not recommended.
There is no official information on the release date of the builds in question that will allow the first lucky users to try Android 14 on their Xiaomi devices, but it is speculated that the company may choose August 16 as the start date of the test phase, this because the anniversary of the company’s proprietary interface falls on the day in question.
Considering this, it is plausible that Xiaomi may want to take advantage of the anniversary also for the launch of the latest devices expected in the near future, namely the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 and Xiaomi Pad 6 Max; we just have to wait to find out.
