Polo has now officially launched it’s latest 2024 vehicle called the 2024 Volkswagen Polo and the company has started taking orders in Australia, and the first batch of models will be delivered in February. The 2024 Polo model lineup has been streamlined to three automatic models – 85TSI Life, 85TSI Style and GTI, eliminating the five-speed manual model of the 70TSI Life.

Prices for the new models have also increased, with Life models up by $500, Style models by $1050 and GTI models by $700.
One of the highlights of the new 2024 model is that blind spot monitoring, reverse side warning and active occupant protection safety systems return to Polo Style, after these configurations were previously removed due to a chip shortage at the end of 2022.
At the same time, physical buttons on the Polo GTI steering wheel have also returned, replacing touch-sensitive buttons that are easy to accidentally touch.
Polo Life and Style models are equipped with a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine with a maximum power of 85kW and a peak torque of 200Nm. It is matched with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and uses front-wheel drive.
The flagship model Polo GTI uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine with a maximum power of 147kW/320Nm, matched with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and uses front-wheel drive.
The entry-level Polo Life comes standard with 15-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED headlights and rain-sensing wipers. Inside, there’s an 8.0-inch instrument cluster, an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, wired Apple CarpPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging and a manual air-conditioning system. Seven airbags, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane keeping assist, cruise control and a reversing camera.
Optional for an extra $1700 is the Vision and Tech package, which adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite navigation, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, adaptive cruise control, lane centering and voice control.
Upgrading to the Polo Style model will add 16-inch alloy wheels, matrix LED headlights, LED taillights with running water indicators, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, adaptive cruise control, 10.25-inch instrument display, semi-automatic parking, blind spot monitoring, Configurations such as reversing lateral warning.
The $1700 Sound and Tech package adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite navigation, keyless entry and start, voice control and a Beats audio system.
