Samsung One UI 6 has now reached millions of Galaxy smartphone and tablet models together with Android 14 and now the company is working on the new One UI 6.1.
The latter should debut with Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra and should integrate various artificial intelligence features : after the tastings of the last few days, let’s take a more in-depth look at some of these, which should also arrive on products already in trade in the coming months.
Advanced features of One UI 6.1
Earlier it was revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will focus heavily on AI, and thanks to the leaks leaked in recent hours we can already start to discover some of the features that we will officially see from next month (if the rumors about the Unpacked event are will prove correct).
It remains to be seen which of these will eventually be reserved for some models (primarily the Galaxy S24 series), and which will instead arrive on smartphones and tablets of previous generations. It will all depend on the computing power required, given that the new SoCs (such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy) will focus heavily on AI.
As reported by Ahmed Qwaider, the smartphone will be able to identify up to 10 different voices within the meeting recordings, possibly translating them, but also to jot down notes about them, complete with a ChatGPT-style summary.
One UI 6.1 should offer a generative wallpaper function similar to the one introduced by Google on its Pixels: as reported by Bennet Buhner and WigettaGaming, the new feature should appear as we see in the screenshots below.
Samsung users could get weather effects on the lock screen, Magic Editor-style photo enhancements, and the battery protection features we’ve glimpsed in recent days.
