When you receive a message while driving, Android Auto notifies the user and also reads it aloud and this solution is undoubtedly convenient and appreciated if it is one or two messages while it could become annoying if receive many messages, as the reading aloud function could end up turning into a real nuisance, with the risk of diverting attention from driving.
Well, Google’s team of developers is aware of this limit and is working on an innovation that should allow Android Auto to overcome it, through Google Assistant and artificial intelligence.
A handy new feature is coming for Andoid Auto users
The idea of the Android Auto team is to implement a function that is able to offer users a summary of the messages received from Google Assistant , all by exploiting the potential guaranteed by AI-based systems.
According to what was discovered in the Google App code, users will see a warning informing them that Google Assistant is able to summarize messages , with the clarification that these summaries will be generated by artificial intelligence and, therefore, may contain errors.
However, users can deactivate this feature at any time in the Android Auto Settings menu.
It is not clear what kind of messages this feature will be able to support but it is likely that they will be SMS and RCS content coming from the Google Messages app.
The strings describing this new function were discovered in version 14.52 of the Google App, which is currently in beta version and at the moment there is no information on when it could be made available to all users.
Android Auto is your smart driving companion that helps you stay focused, connected, and entertained with the Google Assistant. With a simplified interface, large buttons, and powerful voice actions, Android Auto is designed to make it easier to use apps that you love from your phone while you’re on the road.
