The South Korean tech giant Samsung has started pushing out the latest August 2023 security firmware update to its eligible devices. The company is now selected the older Galaxy S20 FE model to push its first-ever August 2023 security patch.
Note that the official August 2023 security bulletin has yet to be unveiled. With this update, the smartphone will get improved privacy and security. Also, in the coming weeks, several Galaxy smartphones including Galaxy S Series, A Series, M Series, Fold Series and tablets will get the August 2023 security update.
Galaxy S20 FE August 2023 security update
As per the official changelog, the latest software update for the Galaxy S20 FE is rolling out with the firmware version G780GXXS6EWG9 and it is currently available in Bolivia, Brazil, Guatemala, Paraguay, and Trinidad & Tobago.
The changelog only contains a security update, so don’t expect it to bring any new features or performance improvements to the Galaxy S20 FE.

The Galaxy S20 FE’s 4G version was launched with the Snapdragon 865 processor in H2 2020 with Android 10 onboard. After that the model received the Android 11 update by the end of 2020 and the Android 12 update in the fourth quarter of 2021. It also received the Android 13 update, marking as the last major firmware update.
