According to the information, Samsung and LG reportedly started delivering the display panels for the upcoming iPhone 15 Series. It is expected that BOE will not supply the screen for the new iPhone 15 Series by Apple.
iPhone 15 Series Display Details
The all-new iPhone is expected to be launched in the third quarter. This means Samsung Display and LG Display might benefit a lot in the second half of the year. As per the latest tipsters, Samsung Display and LG Display are going to supply OLED panels for the upcoming iPhone 15 series, which will be revealed next month.
As per popular media bloggers, this year’s iPhone series will have better displays, with thinner bezels and no notch at the top of the screen. Apple will use a technology called Low Injection Pressure Overmolding (LIPO) that they first introduced in the Apple Watch 7.
iPhone 15 Series Four Models
Apple is looking to launch the iPhone 15 Series in four models. Samsung Display will provide OLED panels for all four models, while LG Display will supply them for the two Pro versions.
However, BOE might not get approval from Apple due to technical issues. This could lead to more iPhones with screens from Samsung and LG. An expert from KB Securities named Kim Dong-won said there’s a high chance that LG Display and Samsung Display will provide all the OLED panels for the iPhone 15. He mentioned that BOE’s chances are looking less likely, partly due to technical problems with their display processing and OLED technology patent lawsuits against Samsung.
