Fisker has introduced its new small electric truck, the Alaska. The vehicle has tagged with a base price of $45,400, by having its availability by 2025. The booking of this EV truck is open now.
The company conduct its “Product Vision Day” yesterday in Huntington Beach, California. At this event, it revealed some of its forthcoming vehicles. This would comprise the earlier unannounced Alaska truck.
Alaska seems to be placed as an “adventure truck”, instead of a work truck like Rivian R1T. So far, the company doesn’t reveal any specifications. But, it is clear that the vehicle is much smaller than the Rivian
According to the company, this will be the lightest electric pickup truck. While it appears comparatively compact. It is certainly smaller as compared to the several large electric trucks that hit the roads.
At the same time, the Fiske reveals that it won’t constrain the truck’s versatility. Also, the truck only has a 4.5-foot bed, while it will further expandable with a hidden midgate, that calls by a company a “Houdini Door.” This enables pass-through into the cabin, while as declared by the company the truck will have 9 feet worth of flat space.
Alaska Price and Range
Perhaps, it’s not only the truck that’s smaller, as its price is also smaller too. As revealed by the company that it will start with the price tag of $45,400, which is $37,900 after federal tax credits. While Fisker also plans to produce Alaska in America in the former Lordstown factory.
Certainly, the price revealing is a little early and it can change over time depending on various factors. The Fisker Ocean was first unveiled in 2020 with a $37k base price. Whereas, on the other side, the only model that is available today comes at $69k. Thus, it has been more clear at the time of delivery of the vehicle.
Talking about the range then Alaska will have a limit of 230 to 340 miles of range. It indicates that it will be equipped with multiple battery sizes. Although, the information related to battery options is not disclosed by the company.
