Fisker, an American automotive company has announced its next electric car. The new Ronin, an electric convertible car, that possibly come to compete with Tesla Roadster.
By the time, when Henrik Fisker first launched Fisker Inc., which is one of its newest startups after its previous failure. The company has disclosed a bunch of prototypes, along with Fisker EMotion. Fisker Ronin was first teased earlier this month, the time when the company revealed that it will have 600 miles of range.
In addition to the above information, this electric supercar is evolved to be the final version of the EMotion. Fisker is able to successfully grab a lot of headlines by stating that the Ocean would be a $35,000 electric SUV. Although, the company only produces a $70,000 version of the SUV, while losing huge amounts on it. This makes the people curious who book the $35,000 version.
On the other hand, Fisker seems to move on a totally different path in the market with Ronin. At ‘Fisker Product Vision Day 2023’ yesterday, the automaker introduced the very first prototype of the Ronin, an electric GT supercar.
Four-door electric convertible
Henrik Fisker called it “the world’s first four-door electric convertible.” Whereas that’s a bit stretched with its rear small butterfly doors.
Nevertheless, it can accommodate five people as per company. This makes this car really impressive in the segment. However, the interior of the car is not unveiled yet.
As claimed by the company, the car can easily go 0 to 60 mph in about 2 seconds. While unveiling, the CEO also stated about 1,000 horsepower. Fisker Ronin some of the revealed specifications made it very clear that this model will develop to be the competitor of the Tesla Roadster.
But while presenting the idea, Fisker tries hard to mention anything about Tesla. The time when the CEO explained how they intended to achieve a range of 600 miles, he added:
There is already some integrated battery pack out there, and of course, we know about those, but we have actually looked at something different.
The CEO continued:
We are looking to integrated the cells into the structure of the body and that will give us our goal of getting to 600 miles of range. That’s exactly what Tesla’s structural battery pack is: cells are part of the structure.
Also, it seems like the technology behind Ronin is not fully nurtured. And doesn’t have anything concrete to demonstrate, since, Fisker says that it is coming “toward the end of 2025”.
