Google has now customised its skip YouTube ads button. As per the latest information, the skip button is finally modernizing a bit and is more consistent with the rest of the graphics of the Mountain View apps and services. The new button is now available to more users, both on the Android app and on the YouTube website .
“Skip” button for advertising
YouTube brings a new button to skip ads, which is more compact and more consistent with the rounded graphics of the period. It is a classic “pill” with a slight transparency, always located in the lower right corner of the screen. Obviously no change regarding the advertising itself: only some can be skipped, and usually only after a few seconds, exactly as before.
Meanwhile, YouTube also recently disabled recommendations for users who had turned off watch history or used the site while logged out. Now, though, that decision has apparently been reversed.
Recently, YouTube stopped showing any recommendations on the YouTube.com homepage when users were either signed out or had turned off watch history. YouTube announced the change in a support post, explaining that the change made it “clear which YouTube features rely on watch history.”

This means that starting today, your home feed may look a lot different: you’ll be able to see the search bar and the left-hand guide menu, with no feed of recommended videos thus allowing you to more easily search, browse subscribed channels and explore Topic tabs instead.
