As per the latest information, Google plans to make the results of its search service a little more social, by introducing its own version of “Stories”, called “ Notes ” on some web pages.
Stories are a feature originally launched by Snapchat and then taken over by various competing services over time, perhaps with some adjustments and revisions, but the substance remains the same: Instagram , X (formerly Twitter ), Spotify and YouTube are just a few examples of the services that have proposed various implementations of this feature.
Google Search may soon become a little more social
It therefore seems that Google Search will soon join all those services that have already introduced Stories within them, at least according to some clues identified and shared on the web.
Google will introduce Stories into Search results
It therefore seems that the Mountain View giant, through the Google Labs program, intends to introduce its own version of Stories in the search results in the near future, giving users the ability to place text, images and stickers on a background inspired by Material You.
The company therefore wants to introduce a new way to interact with Google Search results, users will be able to leave public comments on individual web pages that appear in the results of the company’s search service.
The examples of use are different, it will be possible to add a note on the quality of a particular recipe or share the personal modifications made, perhaps integrating everything with images of one’s creations.
As anticipated at the beginning, the new function will be called “Notes”, a new “Add note” item will be available on the pages of the browser integrated in the Google app ; It’s not clear at this time where and how notes written by others will be visible, but each note will be posted for other users to see once it has been properly moderated. Furthermore, like any self-respecting social feature, it will be possible to “like” the content created by other users.
