On January 25, 2024, Krafton Live Talk (KLT), CEO CH Kim of Krafton confirmed the forward-looking strategy for 2024. The meeting saw the Krafton CEO talk about plans to launch new titles, and consolidate efforts to strengthen its standing in the global gaming industry.
“2024 will be the year when the ‘Scale-up the Creative’ strategy bears its first fruit. It will be a pivotal year that shapes the stepwise growth of Krafton,” CEO CH Kim said, according to a press statement. The ‘Scale-up the Creative’ strategy was announced by the company last year, and aims to discover diverse creative strategies to help Krafton grow into a global publisher.
According to the press statement, the South Korean game developer plans to release numerous titles in 2024. Among these are the eagerly awaited ‘Dark and Darker Mobile’ and ‘inZOI’.
The Indian market will continue to hold a significant place for Krafton given the popularity of its game Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). At the town-hall, CH Kim expressed his dedication to invest more and grow in the region. He said that their main goal is to achieve the top position for BGMI in the market, while expanding publishing and esports activities in India.
CH Kim emphasized consolidating internal capabilities and instigating a mindset shift at the company. As part of this shift, Krafton will also push for integrating deep learning technology (AI) into game development, and will leverage its top-level AI R&D capabilities for the same.
