The Cortex-X5 core will also power MediaTek’s upcoming flagship mobile chipset, the Dimensity 9400. Now the Dimensity CT-X1 has surfaced on Geekbench, likely from a test machine, revealing what the Cortex-X5 might be capable of.
As per the Geekbench score, the chip scored 1606 points in single-core and 5061 points in multi-core. The lower clock speed of the Cortex-X5 core in the CT-X1, which is clocked at 2.12 GHz.
Despite the lower clock speed, reports suggest the IPC (instructions per clock) of the Dimensity 9400 will be close to Apple’s A17 Pro chip and will even surpass to that of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 which will have custom Oryon cores.
DCS further suggests that the Dimensity 9400 might debut first in a Vivo smartphone, followed by an Oppo model.
