Nikon launched firmware version 2.01 for its full-frame mirrorless camera Z8, which fixes issues such as green color cast and unavailability of the eye sensor in some scenes.

- Encrypted password
- Password displayed after camera default settings are restored
- The following issues have been resolved:
- A green cast appears in some of the photos taken.
- The date and time set in the camera are sometimes not applied correctly.
After a firmware update, the eye sensor sometimes doesn’t work properly and the viewfinder doesn’t turn on. After pressing the shutter-release button halfway to exit the “i” menu viewed in the monitor, the “i” menu sometimes remains displayed in the viewfinder when looking through the viewfinder.
Download the firmware to your computer. Use a card reader to copy the ” Z_8_0201.bin ” file to the memory card that has been formatted in the camera.
Insert the memory card into the camera slot currently selected as the main slot and turn on the camera. Select [Firmware Version] in the [Setup Menu] and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the firmware update.
After the update is complete, turn off the camera and remove the memory card. Confirm that the firmware has been updated to the new version.
