Nothing phone CEO Carl Pei confirmed in his New Year post that the Nothing Phone (2a) is all set to launch soon. It looks like it is indeed the Nothing Phone (2a) based on a new sighting of the phone on the TDRA certification site.
Nothing Phone (2a) gets TDRA certification
Nothing Phone (2a) was spotted on UAE’s TDRA certification site. The listing confirms the device’s name as it’s clearly mentioned on the site. It doesn’t reveal any other details but confirms the phone’s name, which has been only rumoured so far.
The teaser shared by Pei doesn’t reveal any detail either so everything is under wraps at the moment. But we’re expecting to start seeing teasers soon about the upcoming Nothing phone.
Nothing Phone (2a) specs (expected)
- Nothing Phone (2a) is expected to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
- It could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor.
- The smartphone is said to launch in two variants of 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage.
- Nothing Phone (2a) is expected to house a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL S5KGN9 primary camera and a 50MP ISOCELL JN1 ultra-wide angle lens. For selfies, we could see a 16MP front camera.
- On the software front, the Nothing Phone (2a) is expected to run Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.5 out-of-the-box.
- The smartphone will most likely pack a 4,290mAh battery.
- In terms of colour options, the Nothing Phone (2a) is expected to launch in Black and White, same as the flagship models.
