The South Korean tech is now all set to launch the new foldables at its Galaxy Unpacked event on July 26th. The biggest chip maker company is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5.
Soon after its debut, Samsung will kick off the sales of new foldable in other markets including the US.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 sales will start from August 14 in the Asia market onwards. Pre-bookings for the foldables will begin on July 26th.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5 specs (Expected)
Display: The Galaxy Z Fold 5 will launch with a 7.6-inch 120Hz internal display and a 6.2-inch 120Hz outer display. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 could feature a 3.4-inch cover display and a 6.7-inch 120Hz interior display.
Processor: Under the hood, both devices are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
RAM and storage: It will come with 12GB RAM, and up to 512GB of internal storage.
Cameras: The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is said to launch with a triple camera setup of 108MP + 12MP + 10MP. For selfies, the foldable is expected to house a 10MP front camera. As for the Galaxy Z Flip 5, it will arrive with a dual 12MP rear cameras.
Software: Both the foldable devices will run Android 13-based OneUI 5.1 out-of-the-box.
One UI 6 (Android 14) Geekbench Scores
The Galaxy S23 Plus with Android 14 (One UI 6) is now spotted on the Geekbench platform. The S23 Plus with One UI 6 (Beta) scores 2114 in Single core and 5557 in multi-core. The Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy 23 Ultra will be the first to receive the One UI 6.0 update (Android 14).

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldables are all set to get One UI 6 version in the second phase. The next batch of phones to get the update will be the A-series, including the Galaxy A73, Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A54.
