Samsung has finally started rolling out the first One UI 6 beta update to its latest Galaxy S23 lineup in the USA, Korea and Europe. Alongside the latest One UI 6 version, the South Korean tech giant also announced that it has received record-breaking pre-bookings for its Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Z Fold 5.
Record Breaking Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5 pre-orders
Samsung has officially confirmed that it has got 1,00,000 pre-bookings for its fifth-generation foldable in just 28 hours. Samsung says the users will start getting their phones delivered on August 11.
In July this year, Samsung launched the fifth foldable smartphone the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Z Fold 5 along with the new Galaxy Tab S9 Series and Galaxy Watch 6 Series.
Customers who pre-book the phones will get an instant bank discount and users who pre-book the Fold 5 will also get a free storage upgrade from 256GB to 512GB at no additional cost.
Samsung is looking to expand its folding phones market. Currently, the company has sold around 3,00,000 foldable phones in Asia since the Fold One.
According to Samsung, the Flip Series has recorded 70% more bookings than the Fold Series in Korea. A similar pattern has been witnessed in other markets where the Flip appears to be dominating the fold. It looks like people prefer the Flip because of its super small form factor when it is folded.
