Tom Sizemore was hospitalized after suffering a brain aneurysm.

Early Saturday morning, the American actor Tom Sizemore, renowned for his parts in “Saving Private Ryan” and “Black Hawk Down,” had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and was in serious condition at a Los Angeles hospital.

According to the spokesman, Charles Lago, Sizemore is in a “wait and see scenario” and in serious condition.

Lago said there are still no further updates, but his loved ones know about this and are watching for the news.

Sizemore, a 61-year-old Detroit native, starred in several successful criminals, including “Heat,” “Natural Born Killers,” “Pearl Harbor,” and “Black Hawk Down.”

His role as Sgt. In the World War Two film “Saving Private Ryan,” Mike Horvath cemented his reputation as a leading man for challenging parts.

His performance in “Witness Protection” also earned him a Golden Globe award for Best Performance in 2000 in a Miniseries or Television Film. He was also included in segments of “Twin Peaks” and “Cobra Kai.”

Throughout his work, Sizemore has been involved in several court disputes and battled a long-standing substance problem.

In 2003, he was convicted of domestic abuse offenses related to his relationship with ex-fiancee Heidi Fleiss. In an interview with CNN’s Larry King in 2010, he admitted struggling with drug addiction, specifically cocaine, heroin, and meth. That same year, he appeared on the first season of “Celebrity Treatment with Dr. Drew.”

In 2003, Sizemore was convicted of assault and battery for an incident involving his ex-girlfriend Heidi Fleiss. In 2016, he was charged on suspicion of felony domestic violence. In 2020, a woman who claims Sizemore groped her when she was 11 years old on the set of “Shooter” will file a civil lawsuit against him. The case was eventually dropped after the performer refuted the allegation.

Sizemore wrote a book titled “By Some Miracle I Made It Out of There,” a story of his battle with drug addiction in 2013.

In an interview with The Associated Press shortly after the book’s publication in 2013, Sizemore explained that he blamed the perks of fame for his alcoholism.

People could tell if you were intoxicated, so he believed it would help to find a substance where he feels secure in his own flesh. He explained in an interview that  Cocaine is what he discovered, and it’s a potent substance. It was something he did for a while. Then he found heroin, which was an even greater drug.

Eventually, he said, crystal meth consumed his life and fueled his decline from prominence.
